Health & Spirituality

Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind and spirit. Live the present moment wisely and earnestly. Every human being is the author of his own health or disease.

"Life is not a fairground, but a school. Be kind and generous to your fellows, but hard and relentless with yourself. We were born in charge of our own being, our own personality. Other people's personalities are beyond our control. When a seeker, no longer satisfied with materialism or dogma and yearning for spiritual nourishment, asks an initiate for advice and enlightenment, he will receive training in accordance with his perceptive faculties. The magician should spare neither time nor effort to communicate his spiritual treasures to the seeker and lead him towards the light."

– Franz Bardon, Initiation into Hermetics

“God never cooperates with evil. He simply offers us the opportunity to transform the painful experiences in our lives into advantages and blessings. Remember, whatever good or bad things happen to us, they have only one single purpose, to awaken us to the reality of God and help us on the path toward union with Him. There is no other reason for being born on this planet, believe me. It is up to us whether or not we take advantage of these wake-up calls. Those who manage to genuinely place their hopes totally in God will never be disappointed. God will be with them continuously. They will then be able to bear witness to the miraculous way Providence works in their lives, yet without recognizing it. All of us have such experiences if we pay attention..”

– Kyriacos C. Markides, Daskalos, the magus of Strovolos

“Man has no individual I. But there are, instead, hundreds and thousands of separate small "i"s, very often entirely unknown to one another, never coming into contact, or, on the contrary, hostile to each other, mutually exclusive and incompatible. Each minute, each moment, man is saying or thinking, "i". And each time his i is different. just now it was a thought, now it is a desire, now a sensation, now another thought, and so on, endlessly. Man is a plurality. Man's name is legion. There is a cosmic law which says that every satisfaction must be paid for with a dissatisfaction. One thing alone is certain, that man's slavery grows and increases. Man is becoming a willing slave. He no longer needs chains. He begins to grow fond of his slavery, to be proud of it. And this is the most terrible thing that can happen to a man.”
